Caco-2 is a human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell line established from a primary colon tumor of a 72-year-old male patient. The cells can form differentiated intestinal epithelial-like monolayers with characteristics including microvilli, tight junctions, dome formation, and transport functionality. Caco-2 cells also produce mucus and can form moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma-like tumors in nude mice. The cell line is widely used as an in vitro model for studying intestinal epithelial differentiation, barrier function, permeability, drug absorption, and colorectal cancer biology.
Before delivery, each clone is authenticated by STR, tested for sterility and mycoplasma, and genotype‑verified by two‑round PCR‑sequencing. Comprehensive QC data accompany every shipment to support reproducible research.

Cas9 cell lines in our cell bank can stably express Cas9 protein. Each Cas9 Stable Cell Line is easy to use and enables gene knockout simply by transfecting gRNA, while transfection of gRNA and donor DNA results in gene knock-in or point mutations
