CLEC3B Knockout cell line (HMC3)

CRISPR knockout cell lines are engineered through targeted genome editing to eliminate gene function, supporting studies of cellular biology, disease mechanisms, and drug discovery.

CLEC3B (C-type lectin domain family 3 member B) encodes a protein with calcium ion, heparin, and kringle domain binding activities. It is associated with cytoplasmic, extracellular, and granular cellular compartments and is involved in bone mineralization. Through its ligand-binding properties, CLEC3B may contribute to extracellular matrix and mineralization processes, although its detailed molecular mechanisms remain incompletely characterized.

HMC3 is a human microglial cell line established through SV40-dependent immortalization of primary human fetal brain-derived microglia. The cell line represents an immortalized human microglial model and is used for studies of microglial biology, neuroinflammation, and cellular mechanisms involved in the central nervous system.

Each knockout cell line is validated by STR authentication, sterility testing (bacteria/fungi), and mycoplasma screening. Genotype is confirmed by two rounds of PCR and Sanger sequencing. Only clones that pass all QC criteria are released, ensuring reliable identity and performance for downstream applications.
