ZFP36 Knockout cell line (HCT-15)

Gene knockout cell lines are generated using CRISPR-Cas9 based technology to precisely disrupt target genes, enabling functional genomics research, disease modeling, and target validation.

ZFP36 (ZFP36 zinc finger CCCH-type) encodes an RNA-binding regulatory protein that recognizes AU-rich regions in the 3′ untranslated regions of target mRNAs. It participates in regulation of gene expression and mRNA catabolism and responds to cytokine and epidermal growth factor signaling. Through sequence-specific RNA interactions, ZFP36 contributes to post-transcriptional control of gene expression and cellular responses to extracellular stimuli.

HCT-15 is a human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell line established from a colorectal tumor. The cells are tumorigenic in nude mice and share a common genetic origin with several colorectal cancer cell lines, including DLD-1, HCT-8, and HRT-18, as confirmed by STR profiling. HCT-15 is widely used as a model for studying colorectal cancer biology, tumorigenesis, genetic alterations, and anticancer drug responses.

Before delivery, each clone is authenticated by STR, tested for sterility and mycoplasma, and genotype‑verified by two‑round PCR‑sequencing. Comprehensive QC data accompany every shipment to support reproducible research.
