Overview

Gene reporter systems are widely used in studies of eukaryotic gene expression and cellular physiology, serving as a common approach to improving experimental accuracy and reliability. The luciferase reporter system, which detects luciferase activity using luciferin or firefly aldehyde as substrates, is one of the most extensively applied reporter systems. Owing to its operational simplicity, high sensitivity, and high success rate, it is widely applied in gene expression research.

The -Luciferase cell line developed by Ubigene was generated using the lentivirus method. In addition to enabling stable and high-efficiency expression of the luciferase gene, it offers high specificity, excellent imaging quality, and accurately quantifiable luminescence intensity. This cell line supports a broad range of downstream applications, including promoter activity analysis, mammalian two-hybrid assays, and in vivo animal imaging studies. Its flexibility and quantitative performance make it reliable for gene regulation research, functional validation, and preclinical model development.
